ABOUT ME
Co-Founder and Editor of NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine
Hello!
My name is Emily Georgieva and I am a First Class Honours BA graduate in Magazine Journalism and Feature Writing. In 2019 I co-founderd NOMADSofORIGIN Magazine, an independent publication focused on exploring culture and sustainable travel. Ever since I have been running the publication alongside my sister, Aleksandra, who is also a graduate in journalism.
I am the co-writer of a self-published debut book about poetry and prose titled Thirsty Flowers. This collection navigates themes of loss, falling in and out of love and navigating the self. The book is written in collaboration with my sister and it is available to purchase online at Amazon.com
The morning is my favourite part of the day and if possible I'd like to drink a cup of coffee before I get to work. You can usually find me behind the screen of my laptop, reading a book or catching up with my family over the phone. Interviewing creative thinkers, travel photographers and inspirational, self-started business owners who care about the environment and sustainability is my passion and that's why there are so many interviews featured in the archives of this website.
If you enjoy my writing, I'd love to connect on social media. Happy reading!
Take care,
Emily x
Thirsty Flowers
a collection of poetry and prose
Thirsty Flowers is a self-published book about poetry and prose that focuses on exploring themes of love, loss, growth and navigating the self. The debut book is written in collaboration with my sister, Aleksandra in 2024.
Writing is something we have both felt passionate about ever since we were kids. I remember us writing short stories and building up fictional characters, designing the structure of novels and scribbling down poetry in notebooks, napkins, on our laptops... anywhere we could find when inspiration struck. This book holds a very special place in our hearts as it is a project we have always known we wanted to publish together and we are finally able to share it with the world.
Divided in two parts, one written by my sister and the second part written by me, the book is a collection of late-night thoughts, once-upon-a-time dreams and personal experiences.
Thirsty Flowers is availably to purchase on Amazon.com
